Montana Bed and Breakfast HGTV Project

Three Annapolis Area Designers were chosen by Designers Challenge to meet with the clients in July of 2004 to discuss the details of the project. Holly approached Loren to work with her on the design and implementation because of his creativity and extensive home improvement background. In the first part of August, each designer presented their ideas for the space to the clients on film.   The clients had one week to make a decision which plan they would choose. Holly Frye, ASID of Interiors By Design was chosen, and work began shortly thereafter.

Four months later, the crew returned to film the finished room.  The results are phenomenal!  To see pictues click here or on the Gallery link on the left.

Designers Challenge is a very popular show in this area, and HGTV's #1 rated show.  The HGTV people mentioned that this project is one of the largest they have ever done, and by far the most detailed Theme Rooms they have ever seen.  The room is comprised of 5 areas, open to each other, that interact wonderfully together and are perfect for entertaining.

Overview of Montana Bed and Breakfast

The vision is to transport you to another place when you enter the space.  The entry area will surround you with a detailed outdoor mural of lake, mountains and trees. Sitting on the willow loveseat on the pier you may see a moose, elk or black bear peeping out from the trees.

Follow the stone path to the rocker clad front porch, and enter through the swinging saloon doors. Stop at the hexagonal, wrap around bar for a drink before heading onto the dance floor.

When you need a rest, settle into the comfy leather sofas or chenille and leather swivel chairs and enjoy the tunes. You can catch your favorite show or movie on the plasma screen TV hidden behind the lovely framed art over the fireplace, but don’t disturb the bear fishing for his dinner.

Later, you can challenge your guests to a game of pool, while others look on from the pub seating.
